Just a Note About Living Now, and Living What Matters. It’s All So Short.

I haven't a lot to say today. Just this: Life can be very short. Life can be quickly changed. Please value it. Cherish your experiences. Every one–good, bad, or ugly. Love those around you–good, bad, or ugly. They offer learning and experience. And if nothing else, you can put them in your next novel. But love the knowing of them.

Live every moment in the moment. Don't fret over the past or worry about the future. The past can't be changed, and the future isn't here yet. This moment is the one you're living. So live it. Enjoy it. Wonder at it. Collect every experience and keep it close to your heart.

As for differences between people: who cares? If your life changes suddenly, will differences between you and people who don't believe as you do, or who do believe as you do, or live as you do, or don't live as you do even matter any more? Differences are what make us interesting. Differences are what educate us. Differences are what broaden our minds and horizons. We don't have to be the same or believe the same or, most important of all, even agree. We just need to love. Appreciate. Enjoy. Embrace.

It's about today. And making it the best you can.

And you do that by living now, embracing now, learning now, accepting now, and appreciating every good thing or person you enjoy in life, now.

What you see, what you say, what you embrace–that's what you will live. That will make up your world.

Make it the best you can. Now.

We lost a friend's father. And now a family member's family member is clinging to life–and hopefully, if he clings well, it will be one in which he fully functions again.

Live now. Love now. Everything else is fluff on a breeze.

My greatest pleasure in life has been raising my four excellent children--some of whom liked me so much that they keep coming back. My second greatest pleasure has been doing whatever I can to make people laugh and create bright moments. I hope to do a bit more good in the world before I go the way of it. And if not, I'd better at least get to spend some serious time writing and singing in a castle somewhere in the UK.
