How to Kill a STRESS MONSTER!

Check out that picture. When I first saw it my reaction was: OHMYHEART! THIS IS MY LIFE! I AM ALWAYS STUCK IN A GIANT SHOWER OF FISHHOOKS THAT ARE WAITING TO YANK ME UP TO MY ULTIMATE DEMISE! HOWEVER DID THIS ARTIST ILLUSTRATE ME SO COMPLETELY?

Then I looked at the summary of the piece:

"Fish hiding in the perfect place."

Oh.

Um.

Hmmm.

I just wrote a piece over on Challenging the Gnome called A Matter of Perspective. It's all about how our lives are crazypants busy and stressful, but depending on how we look at it, they can be great. They ARE how we SEE them.

So its not ironic at all that I would look at this picture and immediately see myself surrounded by death. OH WAIT! YES IT IS!

Right. So what this means is that I've got to practice what I preach a little better.

Or maybe it means that I'm actually learning this and starting to do it, and that's why I was able to write an article on it.

YEAH. THAT'S IT. That is how I choose to see it. As a hopeful thing.

And that picture up there? Dude is totally hanging out where no one would expect him to. That makes him adventurous and daring and creative. I'll take that.

You should too.

My greatest pleasure in life has been raising my four excellent children--some of whom liked me so much that they keep coming back. My second greatest pleasure has been doing whatever I can to make people laugh and create bright moments. I hope to do a bit more good in the world before I go the way of it. And if not, I'd better at least get to spend some serious time writing and singing in a castle somewhere in the UK.
