Happy Independence Day, My Lovely Country!

Not a perfect clip, but some mighty fine passion and power from David Archuleta:

Happy 4th, Everybody! Hope it is grand. Love my country. Love those who've defended it and our freedom since its beginning. It isn't perfect, but it tries, works hard, and it does some good. Thanks, my country.

My greatest pleasure in life has been raising my four excellent children--some of whom liked me so much that they keep coming back. My second greatest pleasure has been doing whatever I can to make people laugh and create bright moments. I hope to do a bit more good in the world before I go the way of it. And if not, I'd better at least get to spend some serious time writing and singing in a castle somewhere in the UK.

  1. I love the star spangled banner, but why can’t anyone sing it straight anymore? Why does it have to be “gospelized?” Are they unable to hold out a note and stay in pitch?

  2. Usually I’m with you on that, Lynn. this one didn’t bother me, though. I liked his power.

Maleah, it was at Stadium of Fire. That’s so cute about your little chicklet! I can see that. 🙂
